Original signiert von Henry M. Blackmer als Präsident. Henry Myron Blackmer, ein bedeutender Bankier, Inhaber des Bankhauses Colorado Trading & Transfer Co., machte ein Riesenvermögen mit seinen Investitionen in Cripple Creek-Goldminen (Orphan, Olive Branch, Buckhorn, Findley, Morning Star, New Haven, Pilgrim). Die Gründung einer Eisenbahnholding im Cripple Creek Distrikt ist nur dank Blackmer zustande gekommen. 1923 gründete Blackmer mit einigen Ölbaronen die Continental Trading Co. Zu seinen Partnern zählte u.a. Harry Sinclair (Sinclair Oil Co.) und Robert Stewart (Standard Oil Co. of Indiana). Blackmers hervorragende Büchersammlung wurde 1989 bei Sotheby's versteigert. Die Henry M. Blackmer Foundation verwaltet heute knapp 3 Mio. $ und unterstützt u.a. die National Audubon Society und Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Ausgestellt auf die Cripple Creek Central Railway Co. und rückseitig übertragen auf die Cripple Creek & Colorado Springs RR Co. Mehrere aufgeklebte Steuermarken. Rarität. | | Availability: | This is the re-incorporation of the failed Colorado Springs & Cripple Creek District Railway Company, originally started by W.S. Stratton, James F. Burns, Frank Peck, the Woods Investment Co., Irving Howbert and others involved in the Cripple Creek District. The Company took over the electric lines serving the towns of the Cripple Creek District, as well as the railroad that went through Victor, Goldfield, and Cameron, then down what was known as the "Gold Camp Road", throgh Cheyenne Canyon, and into Colorado Springs.
