Mit dieser Gründung kontrollierten Tutt und Penrose in dem Cripple Creek Distrikt nicht nur die Schürfung und die Verarbeitung der Golderze sondern auch den Transport. Die Gesellschaft war eine Holding, sie betrieb selbst keine Eisenbahnstrecken, sie kontrollierte als Alleinaktionärin die wichtigsten Bahnen im Cripple Creek Goldminen-Distrikt: Midland Terminal Railway, Florence & Cripple Creek RR, Golden Circle RR, Canon City & Cripple Creek RR und die Colorado Trading & Transfer Co. Von den meisten dieser Gesellschaften besaß die Cripple Creek Central Railway auch die ausgegebenen Bonds zu 100%. | | Specials: | Sehr dekorative Gestaltung mit drei Vignetten: Bergleute in einer Goldmine, dampfende Eisenbahn. Original signiert von Henry M. Blackmer als Präsident. Ausgestellt auf und rückseitig original signiert von Spencer Penrose (1865-1939). Penrose, der einige Colorado-Goldminen betrieb, ist auch als Wohltäter bekannt geworden. In den 20er Jahren leitete er die Cripple Creek Railway als Präsident. Henry Myron Blackmer, ein bedeutender Bankier, Inhaber des Bankhauses Colorado Trading & Transfer Co., machte ein Riesenvermögen mit seinen Investitionen in Cripple Creek-Goldminen (Orphan, Olive Branch, Buckhorn, Findley, Morning Star, New Haven, Pilgrim). Die Gründung einer Eisenbahnholding im Cripple Creek Distrikt ist nur dank Blackmers zustande gekommen. 1923 gründete Blackmer mit einigen Ölbaronen die Continental Trading Co. Zu seinen Partnern zählte u.a. Harry Sinclair (Sinclair Oil Co.) und Robert Stewart (Standard Oil Co. of Indiana). Blackmers hervorragende Büchersammlung wurde 1989 bei Sotheby’s versteigert. Die Henry M. Blackmer Foundation verwaltet heute knapp 3 Mio. $ und unterstützt u.a. die National Audubon Society und Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Linker Rand mit Abheftlochung.
