Der Bau der Bahn, deren Betriebsführung die Northern Pacific innehatte, ging äußerst schleppend voran. 1893 in Konkurs gegangen, anschließend reorganisiert und dann von der Northern Pacific übernommen worden. Schon vor dem 2. Weltkrieg begann man am Columbia River das größte Wasserkraftpotential des amerikanischen Kontinents zu nutzen, u.a. genau am Endpunkt dieser Bahn mit dem Bau des Grand Coulee Dam, der die Columbia, Spokane, Snake, Roosevelt und Franklin River zu einem fast 200 km langen Stausee aufstaut, aus dem ein gigantisches 2.000-MW-Wasserkraftwerk gespeist wird. | | Specials: | Schöne Girlanden-Umrahmung, Text mit Kapitälchen. | | Availability: | Nur 19 zwischen 1900 und 1919 ausgegebene Stücke wurden im NP-Archiv gefunden. | | Condition: | VF+. | | Sold: | unsold |
